A field trip of RIS Grade 1 and 3 Students

A field trip provides an opportunity to incorporate the experience of social environment into the classroom learning. Grade 1 and 3 Students of Rungta International School were engaged in exploring the artifacts, images,sculptures and coins to gain a deeper understanding of the past civilization. This engagement was also a provocation to create curiosity as how images provide information and ideas.

On the occasion for Language Week students of grade 1 to 5 of RIS present poems, songs, stories in their mother tongue.

On the occasion for Language Week, the students were given vast range of exposure to the English language as there is a need for inculcating a sense of pride and importance for the second & third languages that the students study as part of their curriculum. Keeping this in mind all the students of grade 1 to 5 was given an opportunity to present poems, songs in their mother tongue.

The following activities took place:
1. Poetry Cafe:
School community organized a poetry cafe in the school library for grade 1 to 5 students. The students presented poems and stories in their mother tongue. Grade 4 students performed a skit on 'Birbal and the washerman'.
The program proved to be a great learning experience of the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents.

2. Let's pay a tribute to the man behind 'Malgudi Days' - R K NARAYANA: students watched an episode name 'Swami and friends' from Malgudi Days and also learned about his work with the help of a short documentary.

Students of GradePP 1 Celebrate Hindi Day

On occasion for Hindi day students of grade PP 1 were introduced to Hindi Vyanjans in a way that made their learning effective by triggering most of their senses. They looked and identified the vyanjans as displayed in the class while the teacher was reading them to the students aloud used peg boards to identify them. Made hands on lotus craft and thereby learnt 'ka '.
